The University of North Carolina’s NFL Pro Day is slated to take place on Thursday, April 28th.
Several players are participating in this event, but for the most part, all eyes will be on one player.
Drake Maye has been identified as one of the top quarterbacks in this class, and teams are eager to see more of his potential.
With so many quarterback-needy teams with top-five picks, Pro Days gives them another opportunity to check in on prospects.
There has been a lot of buzz surrounding the Washington Commanders over the past several weeks, given the fact that they are in the market for a quarterback.
Some reporters have indicated that they are most excited about Jayden Daniels.
Even if that is the case, the Commanders are doing their due diligence, as evidenced by a recent article from Pro Football Talk.
Charean Williams indicated that the Commanders will meet with Maye ahead of his throwing session at the Pro Day.

This will give Maye a chance to speak with some of his new potential coaches, and for the team to ask him a few questions.
His talent could be elite on the field, but as teams have learned in recent years, having a player who is well-received in the locker room is also important.
If the Commanders determine that Maye’s mindset is different than they thought, for better or for worse, they could view him differently moving forward.
This year’s draft class is said to be one of the best in recent history.
Will these prospects be able to live up to the hype?
