With the 2024 NFL Draft right around the corner, and less than two months to go before the Chicago Bears are on the clock at No. 1 overall, a lot of young players’ fates will be determined as some may go earlier than expected, later than expected, or not at all.
One player with some experience as to what it is like to go through the draft process and not get his fair shake or being labeled one way or another is Los Angeles Rams superstar wide receiver Cooper Kupp.
Kupp is one of the many stars in the NFL who had to earn everything that he has accomplished, as it was a struggle for him to prove his worth on the next level, but once he got in the right situation, he flourished and became one of the best wide receivers in the game.
With Kupp being underestimated right out of the gate and throughout his football career, he had a message for incoming rookies ahead of the draft, as he wants players to know that the numbers they put up at the NFL Combine do not define them.
No matter your numbers in Indy, don’t let them define your journey.

Ultimately, Kupp was selected with the No. 69 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Rams and had to prove himself to the team, which he obviously did.
Kupp went on to become an All-Pro wide receiver in the NFL while also winning a Super Bowl title and Super Bowl MVP while earning the distinction as one of the league’s elite players at the wide receiver position.
