The Denver Broncos may have found a new quarterback, but he needs someone to throw the football to.
That’s particularly true after parting ways with Jerry Jeudy.
So, if Courtland Sutton was already a key member of the team, he’s only all the more important now.
That’s why the fans were so worried about his decision not to show up to training camp as he kept pushing to get a new deal done.
Sutton was then in attendance for mandatory minicamp.
And according to Zac Stevens of DNVR, he made it loud and clear that he wants to stay with the Denver Broncos for years to come.
At mandatory minicamp today, Courtland Sutton made a few things very clear:
He wants to remain a Bronco for a long time.
The Broncos are his home.
And his contract negotiations are far from over.https://t.co/FuhH1ATHMT

However, he also reaffirmed that as much as the Broncos are his home and he doesn’t want to leave, contract negotiations are far from over.
Sutton signed a four-year, $60.8 million contract extension he signed back in 2021.
He’s about to make $13 million next season.
Taking a look at the rest of the league and what wide receivers are making today, it only makes sense that he feels severely underpaid.
Then again, it seems like professional sports are the only place in which an athlete gladly agrees to sign a contract and then wants more money just because someone else got more, up to the point where they actively despise the current deal they signed.
Whatever the case, Sutton has been the Broncos’ best offensive player for years now, and it should be just a matter of time before they find some common ground here.
