Former Pro Bowl wide receiver Courtland Sutton of the Broncos is looking for an extension.
After missing all of the voluntary OTA portion of the offseason, Sutton showed up for the team’s mandatory minicamp portion.
However, that doesn’t mean he will stop his pursuit of earning an extension and being with the franchise for the foreseeable future.
“We are at a stalemate in a sense, but I have confidence and faith that the right thing will be done…This is where I want to be,” Sutton recently told the DNVR Broncos Podcast.
Courtland Sutton made it clear that just because No. 14 was on the field at mandatory minicamp doesn’t mean he’ll automatically show up for training camp.
His message to the team was clear: This isn’t over.https://t.co/FuhH1ATHMT

The Broncos drafted Sutton back in 2018 out of SMU with the 40th overall pick.
His best season with the team was his Pro Bowl season when he caught 72 passes for 1,112 yards and 6 touchdowns.
He has not eclipsed 1,000 yards since, but he did catch 10 touchdowns last season.
After the trade of Jerry Jeudy to the Cleveland Browns earlier this offseason and with veteran receiver Tim Patrick’s tough injury history, this is Sutton’s show.
Look for whoever is starting at quarterback to rely heavily on Sutton through the air.
The 28-year-old is arguably the team’s most dangerous weapon on offense.
Without him on the roster, the passing game could be in real trouble.
Time will tell if and when this contract situation gets ironed out.
Seeing the likes of Justin Jefferson in Minnesota and his former teammate Jerry Jeudy in Cleveland get paid by their teams perhaps has made Sutton a lot more interested in his contract situation.
