As often seems to be the case, the Dallas Cowboys are a polarizing team right now.
While some feel they’re a legitimate Super Bowl contender, at least when they’re playing their best football, others feel they’re nothing more than the imposters they were the past couple of seasons.
Dallas got destroyed in Week 5 by the San Francisco 49ers, 42-10, and many were sounding the doomsday alarm for them.
Although they won their next two games, they fell short last weekend to the Philadelphia Eagles, 28-23, dropping their record to 5-3.
The Cowboys have had trouble winning on the road, but at home, they have won 11 games in a row, and quarterback Dak Prescott gave credit to head coach Mike McCarthy for getting players ready to play winning football at home, per Jon Machota.
Dak Prescott on Cowboys’ 11-game home winning streak: “Great environment. Great scheduling by Coach, sleeping in our own beds…Showing up to the stadium, feeling the energy, everybody really using that…It’s a standard that Coach set when he came in.” https://t.co/dL9wVVNkpE

For the Cowboys, playing at home means having their fans in front of them, and they have some of the most passionate and loudest fans in sports.
However, for a team to win the Super Bowl, it has to win games on the road as well, and Dallas is just 1-3 away from the Metroplex this season.
Last season, when they finished 12-5 in the regular season, they were a decent 4-4 on the road.
One issue the Cowboys have is the lack of another reliable playmaker outside of CeeDee Lamb — wide receiver Brandin Cooks was supposed to be exactly that, but he’s at just 165 receiving yards through seven games this year.
They will host the New York Giants this weekend, and the Giants should be a very beatable opponent for them.
