The Dallas Cowboys have played quite well in their wins, but some people still aren’t buying their stock.
We’ve seen them get off to hot starts and then underperform when it matters the most multiple times, so it’s hard to judge people for being rather skeptical.
That’s why Sunday’s trip to the Bay area to face the San Francisco 49ers could be a make-or-break game for them this season.
With that in mind, the Cowboys have relied on former Niner Trey Lance, who has reportedly given them a hand with some of their defensive play calls and signals.
When asked by The Athletic’s Jon Machota, Dak Prescott stated that Lance had been quite helpful with them, as they had already seen some things in the footage, but he’s confirmed some of their defensive schemes and overall movements.

Needless to say, the Niners have one of the best defenses in the league, and they should already have a Plan B in place to tweak things up a little on Sunday.
It’s not unusual to see former QBs and players give their new teams a helping hand, and it’s up to the coaches to have their players and staff members ready to make adjustments accordingly.
The Niners have had the Cowboys number as of late, getting the best of them more often than not.
So, if Mike McCarthy and company are looking to make a statement and prove they’re for real, they must leave Levi’s Stadium with a win, or at least a narrow loss.
