The Week 9 Sunday Night Matchup between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals was highly anticipated.
This was a matchup with two of the AFC’s best teams, an opportunity for one of them to come away with a statement win.
It was also the first regular-season meeting between the two teams since Damar Hamlin’s injury last season.
Before the game, Hamlin embraced Tee Higgins in a clip shared via Sunday Night Football on NBC.

Higgins was the player Hamlin collided with last year on the hit that sent him to the hospital.
Hamlin and many Bills players came to Higgins’ aid after that play, indicating that there wasn’t anything dirty about his actions last year.
Now, Hamlin and Higgins were able to embrace on the field, an indication of how their relationship has grown over the past year.
Despite having this interaction with Higgins, Hamlin remained inactive for this game.
The Bills continue to take a measured approach with Hamlin, only using him on the field when they need him to play.
He wasn’t needed in this game against the Bengals, largely due to other, healthier teammates being able to take the field.
While he hasn’t played much this year, Hamlin still receives a significant amount of media attention, both during and after Bills games.
Analysts and media stations continue to marvel at his miraculous recovery, keeping him plenty busy.
Fans have continued to embrace Hamlin as a member of the Bills organization, a valued member of the team even when he remains sidelined.
