When the Dallas Cowboys lost to the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round of the playoffs, there was a ripple effect across the league.
The Cowboys were, of course, eliminated from the playoffs, which granted the Detroit Lions the right to host another playoff game this week.
Last week was their first home playoff game in 30 years, so having two home games in two weeks is a special treat for this fanbase.
Dan Campbell spoke at a press conference about what this game means, also answering questions about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers matchup.
According to a video shared by KREF Sports, Campbell gave special props to Baker Mayfield, highlighting how much he admires him.
Campbell said, “I’ve always been a Baker fan from afar,” adding, “There’s no wonder why people rally around him and follow him.”
A REALLY cool story from Lions coach Dan Campbell on why he’s such a fan of Baker Mayfield.

As a former No. 1 overall pick, Mayfield had a lot of pressure and expectations heading into the league.
He was tasked with leading the Cleveland Browns, a team that had suffered significant heartbreak and loss for years.
Mayfield was supposed to be the player that would bring them out of their rut, but unfortunately, he could not do that for various reasons.
It might not have worked out in Cleveland, but it has certainly worked out for him in Tampa Bay.
Campbell’s team must work diligently to game plan for him and the Buccaneers, who are coming off a blowout victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Both the Lions and Buccaneers weren’t necessarily expected to be in this position, which will hopefully let both teams play loosely, resulting in a great matchup that comes down to the wire.
