The NFL Draft is almost here.
This year’s class is highly regarded, given the amount of top-tier talent at several positions.
Many analysts believe this year’s quarterback class is one of the strongest in recent history, which could result in some great NFL talents when they get to the league.
One of the top prospects is Jayden Daniels, whose draft stock rose significantly after his 2023 Heisman Trophy-winning season.
Daniels has a lot going for him as a quarterback, as he has a strong arm and can also make plays happen on the ground.
While several people share this analysis, Dan Orlovsky recently posted a video to Twitter discussing one specific trait of Daniels that he doesn’t necessarily like.
“There are moments where I think he drops his eyes in a clean pocket and thinks, okay, get out,” Orlovsky said.
I don’t have a lot “issues” with Daniels’ tape—-for me there weren’t a lot of “flaws”—-if there is one its this @NFLDraft @Commanders @Patriots @Raiders @Vikings pic.twitter.com/Ksc2oWz2Tw

Daniels made this decision on several occasions, so Orlovsky believes he might have left some big plays on the table throughout his time at LSU.
Leaving a clean pocket can be a concerning sign of a quarterback prospect, as it indicates that they might have patience issues down the road.
However, with the right coaching, Orlovsky also believes that Daniels could grow out of this habit and become a high-caliber NFL quarterback.
If he joins the Washington Commanders, who have the No. 2 pick in the draft, Daniels could find himself in a great situation with a coaching staff that is ready to help him get to the next level and young teammates that are ready for a new playmaker.
