After an impressive 2022 NFL season, in which the New York Giants were able to defy the odds under Brian Daboll and make the NFL playoffs, the storied franchise has come back down to Earth in 2023, with the team looking like a completely different team.
One of the main reasons for the team’s lack of success during Daboll’s second season in New York is the injuries piling up, as star running back Saquon Barkley has been out for most of the season while quarterback Daniel Jones has also missed some time.
At this point, the 2023 campaign seems like a lost cause, with the Giants sporting a 1-5 record and having little hope of turning things around with the way the team has been playing over the first six weeks.
On Tuesday, Jones went on the “Up & Adams Show” with Kay Adams to talk about his playing status moving forward, and he claims he’s doing all he can to convince the team that he’s ready to go after dealing with a neck injury.

Unfortunately for Jones, the Giants have had a severe lack of protection up front, which has led to the team’s starting quarterback being under siege every single week that he takes the field.
If Jones weren’t as mobile as he is, there’s a chance he’d be done for the season due to suffering some injury because he’s had no time to throw the football all season long.
Even though the immediate future looks bleak in New York, there’s always a chance things can get turned around, especially with a coach like Daboll running the show.
