The Los Angeles Dodgers have been one of the most active teams in the offseason.
They have spent big, and they have improved their roster considerably.
That is scary, since they already won 100 games last season.
Still, even after adding marquee players all around, FanGraphs’ projections don’t think they will win more than 92 games.
They have the Atlanta Braves as the organization with the most projected regular-season wins in 2024.

With 98 wins, the Braves are the projection darlings.
They won 104 games in 2023 and have brought in Chris Sale, Jarred Kelenic, Reynaldo Lopez, Aaron Bummer, Luis Guillorme, and David Fletcher.
The Dodgers come next, with 92 projected wins, per FanGraphs.
That looks like an incredibly low total for a team that has won 100 or more games in every full season (excluding 2020 for obvious reasons) since 2019.
Besides, the Dodgers traded for Tyler Glasnow and signed Shohei Ohtani (two-time MVP), Yoshinobu Yamamoto (three-time MVP in Japan), and Teoscar Hernandez.
They already had Will Smith, Max Muncy, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and many other All-Stars and former MVPs; and ace Walker Buehler is returning from a long-term injury in 2024.
This team, if healthy, could approach 110 wins.
The problem will be navigating the playoffs, where LA hasn’t had luck in the last two seasons.
The playing field levels a bit in the postseason, but the franchise is doing everything in its power to guarantee having the best possible team come October.
If the Dodgers end the 2024 regular season with 92 wins, something catastrophic likely happened.
