The Miami Dolphins have the best, most explosive wide receiver in the game right now.
Tyreek Hill is a one-man force in the open field, and it seems like no one can do more damage after the catch than he can.
However, he’s obviously not the first of his kind, and he drew inspiration from plenty that came before him.
Unsurprisingly, one of those might be DeSean Jackson, who finally announced his retirement after a remarkable 15-year career.
That’s why the superstar wide receiver took to Twitter to call him the “best long-ball catcher of all time,” and he might be right on point.

Long before Hill, Jackson was the ultimate deep-ball threat in the league and someone who didn’t need an ounce of space to do his damage.
Jackson was the true definition of boom-or-bust, even setting a record for the most 50+ yard touchdowns in a single season.
It’s nice to see that the Philadelphia Eagles plan to honor him by signing him to a one-day contract so he can retire as a member of the team.
Jackson didn’t have the same luck as Hill in terms of having some elite quarterbacks throwing him the football.
And while he struggled with drops throughout the course of his entire career, who knows, perhaps he would’ve drawn the same reputation as Hill if he had Patrick Mahomes or Tua Tagovailoa finding him 40+ yards down the field multiple times in a single game.
