The Jacksonville Jaguars entered the 2023 season with a lot of confidence and excitement from fans.
They were coming off of a playoff win, losing narrowly in the divisional round to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Trevor Lawrence was expected to take the next step forward as a passer, which hasn’t necessarily been the case thus far.
This team might be 6-3 at the moment, but Lawrence’s play has taken a dip lately, which could spell trouble for this team moving forward.
Doug Pederson talked about Lawrence in a recent press conference, sharing a potential reason for this recent downward trajectory.
As Pederson mentioned via Around The NFL, the offense has been limited “because of Trevor’s condition with his knee.”

Lawrence’s knee has bothered him throughout the season, and it looks like that pain has increased as of late.
This has caused him to be less mobile, a reason that Pederson identified for the team’s potential struggles.
Once he is back to full health, Lawrence should have no trouble running this offense, feeling comfortable enough to scramble efficiently.
The real question, is when will that be the case?
Week 11 of the season is here.
This is the time of year that is imperative to start making a late-season run to solidify playoff positioning.
If Lawrence isn’t healthy in the coming weeks, it could spell disaster for the Jaguars, especially given their upcoming schedule.
The Jaguars’ next three opponents are the Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans, and Cincinnati Bengals.
With the Texans right on their heels for the division lead, the Jaguars will need to keep their foot on the gas, finding ways to win without Lawrence’s legs guiding them.
