There is a new sheriff in town for the New England Patriots.
After struggling to replace Tom Brady in the first few seasons after his departure, the organization tried again in the 2024 NFL Draft.
They used the No. 3 overall pick on Drake Maye, a highly touted quarterback prospect.
Maye hasn’t played a down for the Patriots, but he is already respected in the local community, someone that fans have started to gravitate towards.
He has already started to get acclimated to the Boston market, as evidenced by his recent appearance at a Boston Celtics playoff game.
As NBCS Celtics posted via The Athletic on Twitter, Maye and Jayson Tatum met up prior to this massive game.

Tatum has become a superstar for this Celtics team, and Maye hopes to do the same on the gridiron.
Similar to the Celtics, the Patriots have developed a sense of winning within their organization.
Their culture has become synonymous with success, and when Brady left, there was a sense that they didn’t have the right quarterback in place to help them achieve their goals.
Maye has a level of upside that Mac Jones did not possess, which continues to give the fans something to root for.
Their attention might be currently divided between the Celtics and the Patriots, given the time of year, but there is a lot of positivity coming from the entire New England area.
It will be interesting to see how Maye plays in his rookie year and if he can handle the pressure of being a starting NFL quarterback.
