The Philadelphia Eagles might be in store for a lot of roster turnover in the offseason after flaming out in the 2023 NFL playoffs.
The Eagles went from a bona fide contender to a pretender in a hurry as they limped down the stretch of the 2023 NFL season and lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round.
Philadelphia felt the losses of former offensive and defensive coordinators Shane Steichen and Jonathan Gannon, respectively, and looked like a shell of themselves on the field in the playoffs.
Now, the front office must figure out a way to supplement the roster with more talent despite their cap sheet.
The defense could use the most help after they turned into a unit that opposing teams had no trouble scoring against.
It looks like they’ll need even more help because Haason Reddick appears to be on the way out, via Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
“#Eagles All-Pro edge rusher Haason Reddick has received permission to seek a trade following another disruptive season featuring double digit sacks. The 29-year old with 27 sacks over two seasons in Philly could land elsewhere,” Rapoport reported.

Reddick asking out is a surprise given how well he’s played for the Eagles, though that could be because the team is not trying to commit long-term money to a veteran.
Reddick is under contract for one more year and would likely demand a lucrative deal given his production.
Every team could use someone as disruptive as him on the edge, so there should be several suitors for him in the trade market.
