After paving their way to an impressive 10-1 record heading into Week 13, the Philadelphia Eagles looked like the best team in the NFL, as they were as resilient as any squad in the league with a no-quit attitude.
Unfortunately for Philadelphia, the team was given a bit of a wake-up call in Week 13 when they played host to Brock Purdy and the visiting San Francisco 49ers.
Even though the 49ers were red-hot coming into this matchup, the Eagles seemed confident enough to get the best of the 49ers in this NFC Championship Game rematch and maintain their status as the team to beat in the NFL.
In three of the four quarters played in this matchup of NFC heavyweights, the 49ers dominated the Eagles and turned a lot of heads during the process, with Philadelphia seemingly unable to go blow for blow with San Francisco.
One thing the Eagles struggled with the most in this Week 13 showdown in Philadelphia was running the football, with the team finishing with 46 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries between five different players.
Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson wasn’t happy about his team’s performance on the ground against the 49ers and vented his frustration, via Eagles Nation.

If the Eagles want to be able to compete with the 49ers in the NFL playoffs, as it seems as though these two might meet again down the road, the offense will need to be as balanced as it can be to keep Bosa and company on their toes.
Needless to say, the Eagles have some work to do moving forward in order to get back to their dominant ways offensively.
