The Philadelphia Eagles overcame one of the NFL’s best offenses on Sunday Night Football.
Heading into their matchup with the Miami Dolphins, the Dolphins led the league in points per game, seen as a juggernaut to many.
Despite the Dolphins’ track record, the Eagles’ defense saw this as a challenge, holding their offense to 17 points.
Darius Slay made a big play in crunch time, recording an interception against Tua Tagovailoa at a crucial moment.

Slay added, “It was a play that I had to make.”
As a veteran cornerback, Slay is known as one of the best in the business.
While his aggressiveness to try and get interceptions can come back to haunt him at times, in this instance, it helped the Eagles win the game.
Against an offense like the Dolphins, chances like this do not come around very often.
With this win over another 5-1 team, the Eagles showed they are still one of the best teams in the league by getting it done on both sides of the ball.
Their defense was good enough against the Dolphins, and the offense clicked en route to a 31-point performance.
While Slay’s interception might look like the hero of this game on paper, it was a team effort by the Eagles’ defense.
Tagovailoa was sacked three times and pressured on a significant portion of his throws throughout the night.
