The Philadelphia Eagles have to be thrilled with where they sit heading into the bye week.
The Eagles have the best record in the NFL at 8-1 and are looking like the heavy favorites for the number one seed in the NFC.
But, as they head into the bye, the Eagles do have a few injuries they need to deal with.
In their last game both tight end Dallas Goedert and linebacker Nakobe Dean suffered injuries.
Both are expected to be out for a while.
According to Mike Garafolo, Dean suffered a Lisfranc sprain and is expected to be placed on injured reserve.
#Eagles LB Nakobe Dean has been diagnosed with a Lisfranc sprain, sources tell me and @RapSheet. Dean, who called the defensive signals to start this season, will see a foot specialist to determine a course of action but he’s expected to be placed on IR. pic.twitter.com/SE2sEykwLW

This is a tough blow for the Eagles, who are trying to see what they have in Dean.
He was their third-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and he has only played in five games this season.
Dean has recorded 30 combined tackles and two tackles for loss.
The Eagles also let Dean call the defensive signals to begin the season.
So there is some hope he can be one of their starting linebackers of the future.
Coming into the 2022 draft, many people thought Dean would be a first-round pick.
But, his injury history pushed him down many draft boards.
No matter where you were drafted you have to stay on the field to provide value.
Dean has yet to show he can accomplish that.
It will be interesting to see how the Eagles look coming out of their bye week.
They will be tested right away when they head to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs in Week 11.
