The Philadelphia Eagles entered the 2023 season with new offensive and defensive coordinators.
After their successful run to the Super Bowl last year, both of the Eagles’ signal callers were recruited elsewhere, getting head coaching jobs in the offseason.
Since this season didn’t go as anticipated, fans believed the team would make personnel changes before the 2024 campaign.
Some believed that Nick Sirianni would be out the door, but he is apparently sticking around for another season.
However, as Ari Meirov pointed out, Brian Johnson was not so lucky.
His report indicates that Johnson is out as their offensive coordinator after just one season.
#Eagles informed OC Brian Johnson that he won’t be back in 2024, as @RealDGunn said. For the second straight offseason, Philadelphia is looking for a new OC and DC — this time for entirely different reasons. pic.twitter.com/H5qjhkyVt3

The Eagles’ offense struggled to return to the dominant levels they achieved in 2022.
Johnson’s offense didn’t get it done, and while the team might like him as a person, it was time for both parties to move on.
Teams around the league still tend to focus on what someone has done for them lately.
If a coordinator or coach isn’t winning, their leash gets much shorter.
Winning can disguise a lot, especially potential problems within an organization.
It will be interesting to see how the Eagles bounce back from their down year and if they can find coordinators to help them achieve their goals.
Jalen Hurts might not be going anywhere, but outside of the quarterback position, they will need to fill many holes, hoping to correct anything that went wrong.
