The New York Giants’ season has been a roller coaster.
It almost feels like they’ve played two full seasons already, and while people overlook them and kind of forget that they were still competing, they’ve been playing very good football as of late.
A lot of that has had to do with Tommy DeVito’s impressive play.
With that in mind, franchise legend Eli Manning shared his thoughts on the undrafted rookie QB, and he had plenty of good things to say about him (via Dan Duggan).
“Hey, they’re winning games. Three games in a row. He’s finding a way. I think the most impressive thing, and I’ve talked to Tommy a little bit, is that he hasn’t turned the ball over,” Manning said.

While Manning acknowledged that DeVito is taking a lot of sacks, he claimed it had to do with the fact that he’s not forcing throws, which is something you want to see with a rookie quarterback.
He said that the most impressive part about his hot stretch is the fact that he hasn’t turned the ball over, lauding him for making good decisions and not making mistakes when reading opposing defenses.
Manning is a firm believer in DeVito and his development, stating that he’s only going to get better.
The Giants’ defense has also taken a big step forward during the winning streak.
It’s kind of a shame to see that this team had to go through so much to finally be at their best, as they entered the season with such high hopes and expectations after a promising first year under HC Brian Daboll.
At least, they may have found their QB.
