The NFL has several current players who are often labeled as “generational” given the amount of success they have had in their careers.
The Kansas City Chiefs are lucky enough to have two of those athletes on the same roster.
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are routinely touted as the best players in the league at their respective positions.
Kelce is particularly well-respected by other tight ends across the league, especially given the “Tight End University” he helps run.
This has given greater awareness to the position and has allowed younger players to further hone their craft.
In a recent conversation with James Palmer, Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram talked about Kelce’s impact.
“Travis is the standard right now,” Engram said, adding that his conversations are on “another level.”
#jaguars Evan Engram is one of the best TEs in the NFL. If there’s one TE’s film to study … It’s a no brainer for him. “That’s easy man, Travis is the standard right now,” he told @wyche89 and I on #TheNFLReport. Engram says conversations with Kelce are on “another level” pic.twitter.com/0wB3eGqAfR

Many around the league believe Kelce will end his career as the best tight end in history.
He has continued to break records and is not only seen as the best in the league at his position but a top receiving option as well.
After Tyreek Hill left the Chiefs, it was evident that Kelce’s role was slated to get larger.
With the Chiefs not making any big moves to replace Hill, Kelce continues to benefit from having a bigger piece of the receiving pie.
Will he keep up this level of play until he retires?
Kelce has suffered from a few injuries this season, an anomaly for the otherwise healthy athlete.
It will be interesting to see how the rest of his career plays out with this in mind.
