Having a disgruntled player in the locker room isn’t good for any NFL team, especially one looking to win it’s third consecutive Super Bowl.
Considering that, and given the fact that they didn’t seem willing or able to give him the long-term, big-money deal he was looking for, the Kansas City Chiefs agreed to part ways with star CB L’Jarius Sneed.
Needless to say, it’s always better to get something in return for any asset instead of just letting him walk away.
Nonetheless, it seems like the fans were far from satisfied with what the Chiefs got in return for their multi-time Super Bowl champion.
According to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Chiefs will only get a 2025 third-round pick plus a pick swap in the seventh round in return for Sneed.
Trade: Chiefs are finalizing a deal to send franchise CB L’Jarius Snead to the Titans, per league sources.

Of course, it didn’t take long before the fans took to Twitter to call the Chiefs out for getting so little back for him.
Awful trade compensation. Unbelievable.

Sneed will now sign a multi-year deal with the Tennesse Titans, a team that also happens to be a conference foe.
On the one hand, GM Brett Veach has earned the benefit of the doubt, as he’s proven to be more than capable of putting together competitive rosters and making the most of almost every asset he’s ever gotten his hands on.
On the other hand, we’re talking about one of the best ten — and arguably best five — cornerbacks in the game, so one would expect a greater return for his services, even if he wanted to leave.
