Greg Olsen was one of the most dynamic tight ends in the NFL when he was an active player.
He was a staple of the Carolina Panthers offense and is one of the team’s most beloved alumni.
Olsen became even more popular when he joined the FOX Sports broadcast booth.
Fans seemed to appreciate his insight into the game as a former player, adding his own, unique spin to calling a game.
However, this weekend’s action could be his last with FOX.
As a recent tweet from Front Office Sports points out, Tom Brady will take over his role next season as a part of his $375 million contract.
Greg Olsen is calling his last NFL broadcast as Fox Sports’ top game analyst for the foreseeable future.

Given Olsen’s success this year, he will likely find a job elsewhere next season, but this reality has not been received well by fans.
Who would you prefer to hear from as an analyst?

Fox is making a huge mistake. Olsen is a great analyst

He needs to go somewhere else. He’s doing a great job.

Olsen will land on his feet. He is an excellent in-game analyst.

Greg does such a good job. Huge Brady guy but it won’t be easy to fill Greg’s shoes for this role.

Judging by the instant reaction of fans, this change might not be well-received when Brady first takes over the job.
Front Office Sports ran a poll, and while it only had 7,743 votes, 70% percent of the audience voted that they would prefer Olsen over Brady.
Other fans indicated their overwhelming amount of support for Olsen, hoping he goes to another network.
There is speculation that Olsen will move to a No. 2 role behind Brady at FOX, but fans do not seem to believe that this is good enough.
They hope that he’ll get a lead role somewhere else, furthering his craft and becoming an even better analyst.
Former players have turned out to be great broadcasters, for the most part, which has been a great way for fans to continue interacting with their favorite players throughout the years.
