With NFL free agency dying down and all the attention in the NFL turning to the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft, there aren’t a lot of players getting signed from day to day, and those players that do get signed aren’t really potential game-changers, but rather players to fill out rosters.
One talented team that is trying to bounce back after missing the NFL playoffs during the 2023 campaign is the Atlanta Falcons, who recently signed veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins, formerly of the Minnesota Vikings, to a four-year deal.
With Cousins in the fold and talented young players like Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts, Atlanta hopes to make significant strides next season and become a legitimate force to be reckoned with in the NFC while coming out on top in the NFC South division.
Along with making a considerable upgrade offensively by bringing in Cousins, who can help transform this team into a high-powered offense, the team will try to improve on the defensive side of the football in order to hold the lead and stay competitive next season.
In an unexpected move, the Falcons have brought in a cornerback who hasn’t played a game in the NFL since 2021, with the team signing former Green Bay Packers corner Kevin King, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.

In 2019, King had a breakout season with the Packers, recording a career-high five interceptions, 15 passes defensed, a forced fumble, 1.0 sacks and 56 solo tackles in 15 games played.
King played two more seasons for the Packers after that breakout year in 2019 but was never able to reach that kind of production again on the field.
