Building a good NFL team takes more than just putting the right pieces together.
We’ve seen multiple subpar teams overperform because of good coaching, and we’ve seen some apparent juggernauts crumble due to poor decision-making.
With that in mind, and making the most of a slow news day, NFL on FOX podcast took to Twitter to gather the audience’s thoughts on the best coach in the game.

Surprisingly, Dan Campbell got the nod as the best coach in the NFC, beating the likes of Dennis Allen, Mike McCarthy, Kyle Shanahan, and even Sean McVay en route to the final.
That speaks volumes about the level of respect Coach Campbell has earned during his brief tenure in charge of the Detroit Lions, especially considering how things ended for his team last season.
There weren’t many — if any — surprises on the other side of the bracket, with Andy Reid going the distance to win the whole thing.
Reid beat Brian Callahan, Demeco Ryans, Mike Tomlin, and John Harbaugh before taking Campbell down as well in the final, which was far from a surprise.
Reid has been considered the best coach in the game for quite a while now, and with Bill Belichick no longer on the table, he didn’t have much competition for that distinction.
It took him a while, but Coach Reid finally got the recognition and praise he so clearly deserved all along.
Now, he’ll go down as one of the greatest — if not the greatest — offensive minds in today’s game.
