Fanatics has ascended to become one of the biggest sports apparel companies in the world, and they produce all the consumer jerseys for NFL fans, while Nike produces the on-field uniforms.
They have deals with many players as well, and one player is now being sued by the apparel giant for an apparent breach of contract.
It has been announced that Fanatics is suing new Arizona Cardinals rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. for breach of contract, as the two parties reportedly have a licensing agreement that was signed in 2023 for over $1 million and that Harrison allegedly did not hold up his end of the bargain.

The contract in question was for autographs, signed trading cards, game-worn apparel, and other marketing opportunities, and Fanatics is alleging that not only did Harrison refuse to fulfill his obligations, but also “publicly asserted” that the contract didn’t exist at all.
In the lawsuit, Fanatics claims that Harrison told them that another big competitor made him an offer while other trading card companies have made competing offers, as well.
The suit claims that Harrison has demanded Fanatics meet or exceed these other offers, which Fanatics says have never been provided to them.
Fanatics adds in the suit that Harrison has already been negotiating other competing agreements with “other collectible or sports trading card companies.”
This is a messy situation that casts a dark cloud over an exciting young prospect, as Harrison just got drafted fourth overall.
He hasn’t had a lot of positive publicity around him in recent months, as fans didn’t even get a glimpse of him at the NFL Combine or Ohio State’s Pro Day.
