While there is a ton of talent and depth in this year’s NFL Draft class, it is pretty much a foregone conclusion that University of Southern California quarterback Caleb Williams will be the first player chosen.
The draft is a lavish event where players show up in their best threads, and it has become an event where players love to make a fashion statement.
Williams showed up at the draft in Detroit on Thursday, and fans reacted to his threads and appearance.
I think there’s too much hype around the draft, and they’d rather spend their time doing something else
Just saying!

Williams impressed many in his two seasons with the Trojans, and last season, he threw for 3,333 yards and 30 touchdowns a year after posting 4,537 passing yards and 42 passing touchdowns.
He won the Heisman Trophy and numerous other individual awards in 2022, and by the start of the 2023 season, many expected him to be the best player and first player chosen in an absolutely loaded 2024 draft class.
The Chicago Bears have the No. 1 pick, and assuming they go with Williams, they will be giving him an environment that will be conducive to his success.
Normally, quarterbacks who are drafted very high have to deal with playing on a team that is devoid of talent, but Chicago has two stud wide receivers in DJ Moore and Keenan Allen, as well as a young and improving defense.
Chicago also has the No. 9 pick this year, which they could use to take another wide receiver prospect, but they could go in one of many directions with it.
If Williams truly is destined to be a great NFL quarterback, he will have every opportunity to realize his full potential.
