The National Football League is, now more than ever, a quarterback’s league.
That’s not bad or good itself; it’s just an observation.
However, as such, it’s only natural to see that quarterbacks are getting most of the attention, the endorsement deals, and the big-money contracts.
That’s also why it was such a breath of fresh air to see a running back making the cover of Madden for a change.
It was announced that San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffrey had been selected.

Needless to say, it didn’t take long before the fans cracked some jokes about this and were mad at the fact that their favorite player wasn’t selected, but it’s not like McCaffrey didn’t deserve this.

The Stanford product ran away — both literally and figuratively — with the Offensive Player of the Year honors, and he had one of the best seasons a running back has had in league history.
McCaffrey is an unstoppable offensive force, both out of the backfield and as a receiver, and he’s the centerpiece in one of the league’s most proficient and electrifying offenses.
Then again, there’s also the never-ending narrative about the so-called Madden Curse, which states that players on the cover will either get hurt or underperform.
Given McCaffrey’s history of injuries that might be a concern for Niners fans all over the world, especially with a crucial season ahead of them.
However, the latest cover athletes have shown over and over that there’s no such thing as the Madden Curse at all.´
