For years, Bob Myers worked in the shadows to make sure the Golden State Warriors were one of the strongest powerhouses in the NBA.
Myers made countless key decisions in the NBA Draft, some major trades, signed Kevin Durant, and made sure to keep the team afloat through thick and thin.
Now, he’s about to use his expertise in the same industry but in a different sport, this time joining the National Football League.
As pointed out by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Josh Harris and Magic Johnson have hired Myers to assist his group in searches for a new head of football operations and coach for their recently-acquired Washington Commanders.
Needless to say, this prompted plenty of reactions on social media.

Myers proved to be one of the savviest minds in the sports business, working his way around the salary cap, finding and developing players, and taming the stars’ characters when they needed to be tamed.
He did a great job of building strong relationships with the players and everybody within the organization.
And with the way the Commanders were ruled during the Dan Snyder era, it’s hard to think of a better guy to help turn the culture around once and for all.
