It’s been an up-and-down season for the Buffalo Bills.
As per usual, Josh Allen has alternated spectacular performances with head-scratching ones, and the running game continues to be less than impressive.
RB1 James Cook has the eighth-most rushing yards (486) in the league thus far, but the Bills are still a pass-happy and one-dimensional offense, so they need to establish the run to find some balance.
With that in mind, and with pass-catching back Damien Harris still on Injured Reserve (IR), the Bills have reportedly signed veteran RB Leonard Fournette (via Jordan Schultz).
Needless to say, the fans had plenty to say about this signing, and while Fournette hasn’t always been exactly efficient, his addition gives the team a significant boost.
Lombardi Lenny to the Bills.

Bills will sign an RB off the couch before they give James cook a goal line touch

All this just to lose to the Broncos

It’s crazy how I didn’t even realize he wasn’t being drafted.
Next man up is really a thing.
We do have respect for journeymen running backs. Frank Gore!!

This tells me Damien Harris’s neck injury is worst than expected

Fournette is just 28 years old, and he’s stayed in shape as he looked to get another chance to play in the league, so he could still be productive.
Also, the Bills currently have just veteran Latavius Murray as Cook’s backup, so Fournette should be an improvement in terms of a goal-line and change-of-pace running back.
The Bills will need as much help as they can get when they visit the Cincinnati Bengals for a Sunday night showdown.
Fournette could be on the field to make his season debut, even though he would likely have a limited role after joining the practice squad just today.
It’s Super Bowl or bust for Sean McDermott’s team, and they won’t leave a stone unturned as they look to get better and catch up with other AFC powerhouses.
