The NFL Draft is rapidly approaching, which has given fans something to talk about in the midst of the offseason.
The offseason can often be boring, but with the number of players switching teams and the draft class being highly touted, there is a lot to discuss.
Quarterbacks have taken center stage in these conversations, especially since several prospects in the class are viewed as NFL-ready.
One of those quarterbacks is J.J. McCarthy, who has seen his draft stock elevate over the past several months, especially after winning the collegiate national title.
While McCarthy might have emerged from the woodwork in the eyes of some fans, Mike Tannenbaum recently said that he is “not surprised at all” by this development, as he highlighted in a segment of “Get Up.”

Tannenbaum has been excited to see what McCarthy can do in the NFL for months and seems to be intrigued by the recent surge in his draft stock as well.
McCarthy isn’t necessarily viewed as the best prospect of the class, but if what he showed in his final season at Michigan comes out in the NFL, he should put a team in a great position to succeed.
The recent buzz has indicated that McCarthy could go as early as the No. 3 overall pick, while others have made it seem like he will be picked closer to the end of the first, potentially at the end of the second round.
Only time will tell how highly McCarthy is drafted and if he’ll be as good of a pro as analysts like Tannenbaum believe he can be.
