Quarterback Jordan Love is on the cusp of a major extension from the Green Bay Packers.
The former first-round pick took the team to within a fourth quarter of the NFC Championship Game in his first season starting in place of the legendary Aaron Rodgers.
Now that he is entering the fifth year of his rookie deal, he is looking to get paid in a big way.
Former NFL GM and current ESPN analyst Mike Tannenbaum recently talked about what Love should be demanding in his new contract.
“I’m looking for $60 million a year for 10 years…If I’m the Packers, I’d say yes,” Tannenbaum stated on ESPN Radio.

This would be a wild situation if it were to occur.
There is no doubt that Love is on the rise and deserves a massive extension for what he did in his first year as the full-time starter.
After all, he threw 32 touchdown passes, which was second-most in the league.
But, a 10-year extension would be a mind-boggling.
A five-year extension worth $55 or $60 million annually makes plenty of sense because it goes a little bit into the future.
Love is a good player that will continue to get better.
But, there is a reason why Tannenbaum is in front of a camera and not in the league.
