The Arizona Cardinals are the worst team in their division right now.
It’ll be a while before they’re able to keep up with the likes of the San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Rams, and Seattle Seahawks.
That’s why most people believe they should fully embrace a rebuild as opposed to keep trying to compete.
Considering that, former NFL GM Mike Tannenbaum made an interesting proposal on Twitter.
Tannenbaum claimed that the Cardinals should look to move on from Kyler Murray and replace him with J.J. McCarthy.
He thinks they could do so by trading Murray to the Minnesota Vikings, who recently lost Kirk Cousins.
Per Tannenbaum, they’d get a younger and cheaper quarterback, and they both missed the same number of games last season.

McCarthy has been a quick riser in most mock drafts, so the upside might be there.
The Cardinals currently have the No. 4 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, with most people predicting they’ll take star WR prospect Marvin Harrison Jr. out of Ohio State.
The Vikings, on the other hand, have the No. 11 and No. 23 selections, so they could package them to get the former No. 1 pick to the Twin Cities.
That’s, of course, assuming they fail to trade up in the first round to get their hands on one of the prospects they like.
Needless to say, this is just Tannenbaum sharing his thoughts on this matter, and there haven’t been any reports of the Vikings being interested in trading for Murray or the Cardinals looking to move on from him.
