The Detroit Lions are tied for the best record in the NFL.
However, despite their 5-1 start to the season, and the fact that they even bested the reigning Super Bowl champions on the road, some are still not impressed by them.
That could be the case with Baltimore Ravens DE Jadeveon Clowney, who mistakenly called Jared Goff “Jeff” Goff.
Perhaps it wasn’t a mistake at all, which is why former NFL player Greg Jennings believes the former No. 1 pick needs to take it personally.
Jennings pointed out the fact that Goff is one of the main reasons why Dan Campbell’s team has such an impressive record in the first place, so he now has to put his team on his shoulders and make a statement to stop the disrespect once and for all, via “The Carton Show.”
“Jared Goff, put the team on your back and make sure that people understand that Detroit is a contender.”

We all get that Goff wasn’t that impressive during his days with the Los Angeles Rams, and the fact that they won the Super Bowl as soon as they replaced him only hurt the narrative around him even more.
But he’s balled out since he arrived in Michigan, doing a solid job of taking care of the football, and moving the chains up and down the field with ease.
Goff is no longer an afterthought or looked at as a stopgap for the Lions while they pursue a better option at QB; he’s a legit QB1.
The Lions are three-point underdogs as they visit the Ravens on Sunday, and it’ll be interesting to see how they respond to this challenge.
