The Green Bay Packers have high standards for the quarterback position.
The odds of going from someone like Brett Favre to a guy like Aaron Rodgers are pretty slim, and the chances of them striking gold for a third straight time are even narrower.
But so far, Jordan Love has shown more than enough to make fans think that he deserves at least another year in charge of the Packers offense before anyone makes major conclusions.
He got off to a strong start of the year and looked like a star in the making before hitting a wall and regressing vastly, but he’s bounced back in a big way and has been quite impressive over the past couple of weeks.
With that in mind, former NFL QB Chase Daniel had plenty to say about Love’s recent turnaround.
Jordan Love has shown some special flashes in the Packers’ offense.
So … is he the long-term answer in Green Bay? @ChaseDaniel and I dug into that question and much more on this week’s “In the Pocket.”

Talking to Robert Mays of The Athletic, Daniel admitted that he stopped paying attention to the Packers because they weren’t any fun to watch with all those rookies.
However, after watching Love’s tape from the past couple of weeks, he’s been in awe of the way he’s fitting the ball in tight spaces, making throws that don’t even seem to be there.
Daniel raved about Love’s arm angle and talent, stating that he never thought he had that in him.
On top of that, he talked about Love feeling and looking way more confident throwing the deep ball and using the middle of the field, stating that perhaps he didn’t use those resources earlier in the season out of fear of turning the ball over.
Love has shown glimpses of great play, and we should keep an eye on him.
