After a three-win season in 2022, the Chicago Bears had one of the team’s worst seasons in recent memory but saw a potential star quarterback emerge in Justin Fields, who showed a unique skill set and an ability to lead this team.
The Bears appeared so confident in Fields’ future with the team that Chicago decided to trade the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, bypassing all the talented quarterbacks in the draft class like Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, Anthony Richardson, and Will Lewis.
That was a strong statement about the Bears’ future and what their intentions were with Fields moving forward, but one year later, that may have changed, with the storied franchise having the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, with some talented quarterback prospects in this year’s draft class.
With the Bears having the No. 1 overall pick and quarterback Caleb Williams there for the taking, Chicago has a tough choice, but many speculate they will trade Fields and bring in the University of Southern California star.
However, former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel believes the opposite, as he thinks Fields has convinced the team to keep him, as he said on Twitter along with some video evidence to back up his claims.
I’m more convinced than ever that Justin Fields is the QB of the future for The Chicago Bears.
I went back & watched every game he played this year & did the deepest of dives into his play on the field.

Between now and the draft in April, this will be a hot topic of discussion in the NFL, with a lot of opinions on whether the Bears should keep Fields or go with the flashy move to bring in Williams or another top-tier quarterback in the draft.
Only time will tell if the Bears desire a change at the quarterback position and what that might mean for Fields.
