With Trevor Lawrence looking for an extension from the Jacksonville Jaguars, analysts will put his young career under the microscope to see how much he is worth.
Fox Sports’s Plaxico Burress does not feel like Lawrence is completely deserving of a massive extension.
“I really don’t consider him to be one of the elite quarterbacks in this league,” Burress recently said on The Carton Show.

The former national champion and No. 1 overall pick might not be in that class with Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Joe Burrow.
But, he could definitely have a spot in that next class.
He is arguably the most talented quarterback that the franchise has ever had.
In his first three NFL seasons, he has guided Jacksonville to back-to-back winning seasons, along with a massive come-from-behind playoff victory, which came in 2022.
Now, he has battled a couple of injuries and made a few mistakes throwing the ball.
But, he is definitely worth keeping around contrary to Burress’s belief.
He has had back-to-back 4,000-yard passing seasons and completed over 65% of his passes in each of those years.
If he can tone down his interceptions (39 in three seasons), Jacksonville could be a 10-win team.
With Doug Peterson there, expect Lawrence’s play to continue to improve.
The loss of former All-Pro wide receiver Calvin Ridley hurts the passing game.
But, the additions of Gabe Davis and first-round pick Brian Thomas Jr. should help out Lawrence and Co.
