The Dallas Cowboys have a long-withstanding history of falling short against good teams.
Once again, they failed to make a statement when facing a contender, losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in an exciting matchup.
Nonetheless, unlike what has happened most of the time since he took over at quarterback, this time, Dak Prescott had nothing to do with the loss.
Prescott was actually quite solid for most of the game.
That’s why former NFL star Ryan Clark took to ESPN’s “Get Up” to state that, contrary to popular belief, Prescott had just proved that he could be the guy the Cowboys need to get them over the hump and lead them to a championship.
“What we learned is that Dak Prescott can show up in championship moments. That Dak Prescott isn’t going to be the reason this team doesn’t have an opportunity to win a ring.”

Prescott had his best game of the season by completing 29 of 44 passes for 374 yards and three touchdowns, and no interceptions.
He also rushed six times for 14 yards.
The Cowboys had a legitimate chance to pull off the upset, and a lot of that had to do with Prescott’s performance, as he was poised, in control, and kept finding his receivers in stride over and over.
Even so, it will take more than just one game to silence the doubters, as there’s just too much footage of him crumbling under pressure to make people change the narrative around him.
Of course, he’s able to do it, from a talent standpoint, at least.
Hopefully, he’ll get another chance to do it and he’ll finally get his team over the hump after more than two decades without a Super Bowl win.
