The Denver Broncos have struggled mightily again this season.
Russell Wilson and the offense have fared slightly better than they did last year, but their defense has failed to live up to the task.
However, as improved as Wilson’s game has been, former NFL star Ryan Clark believes it’s time the Broncos move on from him.
In his latest appearance on “Get Up,” the former defensive player stated that Wilson is no longer good at football, adding that people were babying him and making up excuses for him like “he was a little better this week,” or “the defense gave up 70 points,” or whatnot.

Clark believes that Sean Payton could still turn this team around, but they will need to embrace a full rebuild, as Wilson’s deal has pretty much handicapped the Broncos’ ability to build something.
Wilson’s contract gives the Broncos north of $85 million of dead cap, and that’s just too big of a number to be able to work something out.
He hasn’t been the main issue in Denver by any means, but he hasn’t done a lot to help their cause, either, and he doesn’t seem like the player he once was in the sense that you can’t envision them coming back from big deficits or beating good teams.
The Broncos have been the most disappointing team in the league for the second consecutive season.
And while Wilson isn’t entirely to blame for that, he should be the next piece to be removed from the equation.
