The Buffalo Bills entered the season with high expectations, and they weren’t able to live up to them.
Some thought it was just a matter of time before they blew the roster up, as Sean McDermott seemed to be on borrowed time, and Stefon Diggs was seemingly pushing for a trade.
All the pressure fell on Josh Allen’s shoulders, and his erratic play to begin the season prompted some uncomfortable conversations about him.
Nonetheless, Allen continues to be one of the prime players in the league, and he’s proved it over and over during the Bills’ recent surge.
That’s why NFL legend Damien Woody believes the Wyoming product is well on pace for the Hall of Fame, as he said on ESPN’s “First Take.”

Perhaps he’s getting a little carried away, considering the fact that Allen doesn’t have the accolades most people would ask from a Hall-of-Fame quarterback.
Nonetheless, he does have the career numbers to get some consideration, and he’s just entering his prime, so he’s going to be playing for a very, very long time.
Allen went from overlooked and underrated to heavily criticized.
Ironically, all the criticism isn’t because of him not being a good player.
It’s because he’s so great that it’s frustrating to watch him making bad decisions or trying to do too much to lead his team.
But at least 25 teams in the league would gladly swap places with the Bills and make room for Allen in their locker room.
