The 2024 NFL Draft’s first day broke the record for most consecutive offensive players taken.
14 offensive players were taken in the first round before UCLA’s Laiatu Latu snapped the streak after he was taken No. 15 overall by the Indianapolis Colts.
Among the 14 offensive players taken, six of them were quarterbacks which set another NFL Draft record for most players at the position taken in the first 12 picks.
However, since then no quarterbacks have been taken which speaks to the massive gap between the first-round prospects and the rest of the class.
Spencer Rattler is the biggest name left on the board as most expected him to be a Day 2 pick.
Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel called out the league for leaving Rattler out in the cold, via his personal Twitter account.
“6 QB’s in the first 12 picks of the 2024 #NFLDraft …ZERO have been taken since then! Tells you a lot about how these teams view the rest of the QB class. Teams are judging Spencer Rattler on a reality show in high school??? Come on…he’s matured and he’s a damn good player,” Daniel said.

Rattler was featured on Netflix’s docuseries “QB1: Beyond The Lights,” and wasn’t portrayed very favorably, leaving teams with a bad taste in their mouths.
Rattler has the potential to develop into a starting quarterback someday, though he’ll need to improve in several areas before he’s handed the keys to an NFL offense.
