The Baltimore Ravens were so close to getting back to the big game.
Their defense showed up in a big way, holding the Kansas City Chiefs to just 17 points and holding them scoreless in the second half.
They forced five punts, and Patrick Mahomes threw for less than 70 yards in the second half, with half of those coming on a single pass to Marquez Valdes-Scantling to seal the win.
However, the Ravens’ offense left a lot to be desired in that game.
Notably, things could’ve gone a lot differently, but rookie WR Zay Flowers made a couple of mistakes.
He had a crucial taunting penalty, and then he fumbled the football before crossing the endzone and the Chiefs recovered.
Flowers was clearly emotional and affected by it on the sidelines.
With that in mind, veteran WR Torrey Smith gave him a piece of advice as he enters the first offseason as a pro: “flush it.”

Talking to Kay Adams on the Up & Adams Show, the two-time Super Bowl champion urged Flowers to just move on from it, work on his game, and get better.
Flowers had a stellar rookie campaign, and the Ravens wouldn’t have gotten that far without him.
He wasn’t the only one to blame for the loss, but those are the kinds of situations that could really mess with a player’s head.
Flowers has a bright future in this league, and hopefully, this will only be a distant memory once it’s all said and done.
