After 11 years with the Seattle Seahawks and one season with the Los Angeles Rams, it appears that star linebacker Bobby Wagner is on the move once again during NFL free agency.
Even though Wagner is still a highly productive player who will turn 34 in June, it appears that he wasn’t getting the offers he wanted to return to the Seahawks, where he made a name for himself as one of the best linebackers in the league.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Wagner has set up a reunion with Dan Quinn, as he has agreed to a one-year deal worth $8.5 million to play for the Washington Commanders.

With the Commanders in rebuilding mode, the addition of Wagner is definitely a step in the right direction, as he will not only be productive on the field for Washington, but he’ll be the ideal mentor for this team as Quinn and company try to right the ship during the 2024 NFL season.
After the Commanders parted ways with veteran head coach Ron Rivera, the team ultimately decided to bring in Quinn as their new leader on the sideline after he had helped the Dallas Cowboys turn into a defensive juggernaut with superstar linebacker Micah Parsons leading the way for America’s Team.
It’ll be interesting to see if the moves the Commanders have made during this NFL season are enough to move the needle for the struggling franchise as Washington’s new ownership group desperately wants to get this team back on the right track.
