After an incredible first season with the New York Giants last year, Brian Daboll was named NFL Coach of the Year, as he immediately turned things around for the franchise that had come on hard times.
The Giants seemed to be heading in the right direction, with Daboll leading them to the NFL playoffs and an impressive win over the Minnesota Vikings in the postseason.
Unfortunately, that success hasn’t carried over to his sophomore campaign in the Big Apple, with the Giants currently in the midst of a nightmare season that the team can’t wait to be over.
As if the season going poorly for the Giants wasn’t bad enough, it appears there may be an internal beef brewing between Daboll and defensive coordinator Wink Martindale, which the head coach has denied with a joke via Dov Kleiman.

With the team falling apart this season, it isn’t all that surprising that there would be some internal disagreements, especially when it comes to the coaching staff with frustrations starting to mount in New York.
Fortunately, the team has won two straight games against the Washington Commanders and New England Patriots.
Obviously, these wins aren’t anything to brag about with both of those teams also in the middle of a nightmare season, but getting a few wins may help the Giants turn things around and smooth things out between Martindale and Daboll.
It’ll be interesting to see how the rest of the 2023 campaign pans out for the Giants and whether this team can end this season on a positive note.
