The wait is finally over for golf gaming enthusiasts, as details surrounding the much-anticipated PGA Tour 2K25 have been officially unveiled. 2K’s renowned PGA Tour series is primed for its latest addition, promising an enhanced gaming experience that will satisfy both long-standing fans and newcomers alike. The forthcoming game is set to feature significant improvements, including the introduction of Major Tournaments and revamped swinging mechanics.
The release date for PGA Tour 2K25 has been slated for February 28th, 2025. A week prior, on February 21st, 2025, an Early Access launch will take place. The game will be accessible across various platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Three editions of the game are available for pre-order. The Standard Edition, priced at $69.99, the Deluxe Edition at $99.99, and the luxurious Legendary Edition at $119.99. Excitingly, pre-ordering any edition of PGA Tour 2K25 will entitle players to a complimentary digital copy of PGA Tour 2K23, providing an opportunity to perfect golfing skills ahead of the game’s release.
The gameplay of PGA Tour 2K25 is set to receive a significant overhaul. The introduction of EvoSwing mechanics will offer players new shot types, ball flights, roll physics, and visual improvements. Players can put their skills to the test across 29 licensed courses available at launch, including the 2025 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club, the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club, the 153rd Open at Royal Portrush Golf Club, and the Old Course at St. Andrews (Season 2).
The game will also herald the return of popular modes such as MyPLAYER and MyCAREER, along with the addition of modes like Topgolf. The Course Designer feature is also set to return, equipped with new tools, surfaces, and items to assist players in creating their dream course.
MyPLAYER will undergo a series of changes, including the implementation of a new Attributes Point system, upgraded Skill Trees, and a revamped Progression system for equipment. Popular brands will be available for players to customize their characters. Additionally, for the first time in the series, MyCAREER will allow participation in Major Tournaments. Players will also have the option to simulate their MyCAREER dynamically.
In line with other 2K Sports titles, PGA Tour 2K25 will bring back Seasons with Clubhouse Passes. These seasons will offer new daily, weekly, and monthly content, and the opportunity to unlock new in-game content.
To top it off, PGA Tour 2K25 will feature multiplayer modes with cross-platform Societies, allowing friends on different systems to play together. Various match formats such as Stroke Play, Match Play, Scramble, and more will be available. Additionally, players can compete in new daily and weekly Ranked Tour Tournaments.
