The Dallas Cowboys were in desperate need of someone who could step up on the defensive side of the field.
With star CB Trevon Diggs missing the season with a major injury, they needed another playmaker and ball-hawk, and CB Daron Bland has been more than up to the task.
With his touchdown against the Washington Commanders, the star CB has established himself as one of the league’s elite, setting a single-season record with five pick-sixes.
As a matter of fact, Bland has now scored as many touchdowns as all the New England Patriots’ wide receivers combined this season (via FOX Sports NFL).

The Patriots have struggled mightily to move the chains this season.
A lot of that has had to do with their stagnant and outdated offense and Bill Belichick’s decision-making.
Their offensive line has also failed to live up to the task, and Mac Jones’ never-ending regression won’t do much to help their case.
On top of that, they have perhaps the least talented group of wide receivers in the game.
None of them has been able to create any sort of separation or pile-up yards after the catch, and it’s obviously hard to score that way.
The Patriots are poorly constructed and their development of young players has been among the worst in the league for quite a while now.
There are more questions than answers right now.
