Just two years ago, NFL pundits and even some fans of the team were urging the Philadelphia Eagles to move on from Jalen Hurts and pursue another quarterback in the NFL Draft or via trade.
Hurts was the most improved player in the league last season and earned himself a historically big payday, and while he hasn’t been as spectacular this season, his team has only lost one game, and he’s been their best player.
Notably, not many people often mention Hurts as elite in terms of mobile quarterbacks.
Nonetheless, a graphic shown by NFL GameDay reveals that he’s been the ultimate dual-threat QB in the league.
Apparently, he has led the NFL in rushing touchdowns since 2021 (32), with more than the likes of Austin Ekeler, Derrick Henry, and even Josh Jacobs.

Everybody talks about Lamar Jackson as the best running QB in the league, and for obvious reasons, but Hurts continues to be one of the most productive players in the game despite not getting as much attention or praise as some of his colleagues.
As of now, it would be hard to choose any other player over him in the MVP race, especially after his Eagles just took down Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in that Super Bowl rematch.
Things can change very fast in the game.
One day, you’re more of an afterthought.
The next day, you’re a superstar, an MVP candidate, and the undisputed franchise player, and props to Hurts for shutting down the outside noise and continuing to work hard.
