Tom Brady is making his debut in the broadcasting booth for FOX in Week 1 this upcoming season in the Dallas Cowboys vs. Cleveland Browns game, and many fans have mixed emotions about Brady coming in and taking the top spot over Greg Olsen.
We have finally gotten some insight into how Olsen feels about the situation, and he didn’t hold back on how he feels about Brady seemingly taking his job.
Olsen spoke candidly in an article posted by ProFootballTalk, saying, “His playing career and his resume and whatnot is an all-timer,” regarding Brady. “So we’ll see how the year goes. I don’t think there’s any real correlation between being a great player or an average player, and how that correlates to being a great broadcaster or an average broadcaster.”
Greg Olsen had some candid (and accurate) observations about Tom Brady’s prospects as Olsen’s replacement as the No. 1 analyst at Fox. https://t.co/57WSBHlqCx

Olsen is slated to lose $7 million a year from being bumped from FOX’s A team to the B team, which is a big reason why Olsen is becoming a sympathetic figure in this situation.
The article highlighted how John Madden would have never taken top billing in such a manner even if it did mean a big payday, and that’s a big reason why Madden was so beloved over the years.
Brady is on a 10-year, $375 million deal with FOX, so it’s understandable that the company would try to get the most out of that investment even though Brady has no broadcasting experience.
We’ll see how it goes, and hopefully Olsen continues to dominate in the booth, because he has become one of, if not the best in the business.
