Despite his lack of success at the NFL and collegiate level, Hue Jackson continues to get opportunities.
A report by Sports Illustrated revealed that Morehouse College is currently negotiating with Jackson to become the Maroon Tigers’ HC (via Kyle T. Mosley).
The report states that sports agency ROC NATION, created by Jay-Z, is representing the coach in its negotiations with the HBCU.

Jackson will now reportedly take over after the team parted ways with Gerald Wilcher after a 1-9 season.
However, most fans would want to put the brakes on their happiness, as Jackson doesn’t come with a track record of success either.
He spent the past two years coaching at Grambling State, where he logged an 8-14 record.
The fans and alumni urged the team to move on from Jackson after their 27-22 loss to Southern, leading to his eventual dismissal.
Jackson has a long track record as an assistant coach, dating back to 1987 when he joined Pacific as a graduate assistant.
He even climbed the coaching ladder in the NFL, serving in multiple capacities as an offensive assistant for the Washington Redskins (now Commanders), Cincinnati Bengals, Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, and Oakland (now Las Vegas) Raiders before getting a chance to be the Cleveland Browns’ head coach.
He left the NFL with an 11-44-1 (.205) head coaching record, and he’s 8-14 as a head coach in college.
Perhaps, however, this change of scenery is just what he needed to get over the hump once and for all.
