The answer to “Where will Bill Belichick end up?” is the biggest question that will be answered this offseason after the New England Patriots let him go after 24 years with the team.
Plenty of teams need new head coaches, and it’s not often one of the greatest head coaches of all time becomes available for free.
While some teams may want to bring in a younger mind with less experience, others may want to lean on that experience in the hopes of delivering quick success to a downtrodden franchise.
Look no further than the Atlanta Falcons, who CBS Sports NFL insider said is the “most logical” landing spot for Belichick.
“The most logical place would be the Atlanta Falcons,” Jones said. “Man, couldn’t you have someone like a Bill Belichick come in there and actually shake things up and dominate a division that is weak.”

As Jones mentioned, the Falcons had a legitimate shot to win the NFC South this season even with mediocre quarterback play.
Atlanta lost a few close games that tanked it’s season, but otherwise played well enough to compete with the rest of the division all the way up to Week 18.
Belichick could fix the schematic issues on a coaching front, but the team still needs to figure out its quarterback situation after neither Desmond Ridder nor Taylor Heinicke proved to be effective under center.
The trio of young skill position players in wide receiver Drake London, tight end Kyle Pitts, and running back Bijan Robinson should be enticing for any head coach on offense, and the defense has some solid players as well.
